I’m in North Perk Coffee almost every day. It has a great atmosphere, tall ceilings, clean aesthetic, and really friendly people. Chrissie Rellinger Smith hit me up to create a spotify playlist for the fall season. Since I’m in there so much, I filled it with songs that I (and others) wouldn’t get tired of listening to.

Coffee shop music is nice when it is calm and upbeat, simply to anchor the listener by counteracting the amped up coffee energy. It also had to appeal to a wide age demographic, and includes multiple genres but veers toward soul. I may add or remove songs, but I’m happy with how it turned out.

Fun fact: we get a lot of tourists here around this time. Locals call them “leaf peepers”.
