“I’m an artist, and if you give me a tuba, I’ll bring you something out of it.— John Lennon

I was born into a musical family and growing up we always had music moving through our home whether it was being listened to through the speakers, or being played through the amps. We all learned the piano to start off with but it was evident as a kid that I was mainly attached to the rhythm aspect of piano and quickly switched over to drums. I started drumming professionally when I was 13 and after I picked up gig, after show, after performance, it seemed that I would be doing this for a long time, (if not the rest of my life). Half a lifetime later  I teach music at Musik Haus, I drum for a country band, a jazz band, but most unexpectedly I DJ for places all over!

I was never interested in becoming a DJ until I saw how much fun it was firsthand and the amazing new combinations you can come up with the melody from one song and mixing brand new vocals over it! Literally INFINITE new combinations can be made! I took the knowledge I had from my home studio production class in college and the free time I gained from being in lockdown and made my first EDM album, “Sick Day”. It was way faster to make an EDM song from just my laptop rather than having to record one of my singer-songwriter songs from real instruments.

Since I made EDM, I figured I needed to showcase my songs somewhere but nobody had open venues yet. So I mainly started to play at house parties to get my start. But like a wildfire it spread fast from me starting out playing a seedy basement to just a handful of friends to me playing at events with 1,000 people in the crowd. But either way I was always comfortable and happy to do either as long as I got to do my passion.

Of course I know you’re here for deciding a wedding DJ, so let me expand on those types of events I’ve done. First of all I’d like to say CONGRATULATIONS on making it this far into your engagement and are officially planning out your wedding! Weddings are the type of events that I really care about doing and probably put the most effort into in terms of gigs. I want to get EVERY detail correct, down to the theme and color. Not only because it’s your once in a lifetime day to showcase your love to the entire world, but because you genuinely deserve the best. I have gone to the lengths of risking my gear being in sand for a beach wedding, to dressing up as Gandalf for someone’s Lord of the Rings themed wedding. And there’s no further length I’ll go then to make someone happy on their wedding day!
